EVERYTHING FROM A SINGLE SOURCE

Production by hand

From local pear wood to the precise wooden curling stick

In our woodturning workshop in the Innviertel region of Upper Austria, every wooden curling stick is handcrafted.

Manufactured with the utmost precision and attention to detail.

From the carefully selected pear wood from the region, which is air-dried for several years and then gently dried to below 10% moisture in our vacuum wood drying facility, through planing, drilling and turning to the final ring fitting – almost all work steps take place directly in our family business.

High-quality materials for durable wooden curling sticks

Each of our wooden curling sticks is crafted from carefully selected, locally sourced pear wood. The wood is cut to size in our workshop, air-dried, and then refined in a vacuum drying chamber. This process gives it the necessary structure, strength, and durability to withstand the demands of the ice for years to come.

Precision in the ring
The ring of each wooden curling stick is bent and welded from high-quality flat steel. After being heated in an oven, it is precisely fitted onto the curling stick blank using a special press and immediately cooled again – creating a stable and durable connection that meets the highest quality standards.

Finished turning & CNC technology
The curling stick is then turned to the exact specifications of the customer, ensuring that its shape and weight precisely meet individual requirements.
Using state-of-the-art technology, including CNC-controlled milling machines, the handles of the poles are shaped into a unique, ergonomic form.

Craftsmanship meets quality
Every step follows our philosophy: we combine traditional craftsmanship with modern precision to produce wooden curling sticks that are perfectly balanced, durable, and unique. This is how wooden curling sticks made in Austria are created, providing an authentic playing experience on any ice rink – for hobby players as well as tournament athletes.
